RAHIM YAR KHAN, Feb 17: The child protection institute will play an important role for the rehabilitation of the neglected children. This was stated by adviser to the chief minister for children rights Dr Faiza Asghar while speaking at the inaugural ceremony of the institute here on Friday.

She said Chief Minister Pervaiz Elahi was taking necessary steps to bring back the jockey children from the UAE. She said 60 children out of the 307 retrieved so far belonged to Rahim Yar Khan and were handed over to their parents.

The UAE government, she said, had provided $700 for each jockey which would be spent on their welfare. For the rehabilitation of the needy children, she said the child protection institutes were also being established in six districts.
