The United Nations agency for Palestinian refugees has said 74 per cent of the people killed in Gaza are women and children.

“Almost 1.7 million people (or nearly 80 per cent of the population) have been displaced across the Gaza Strip since 7 October,” it said in a report, adding that over 50pc of the impacted installations are south of Wadi Gaza.
