Scotland’s parliament has overwhelmingly voted to support First Minister Humza Yousaf’s motion for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza.

“A ceasefire is the only way to ensure access for vital humanitarian aid that will help to save lives in Israel and Gaza,” the Scottish National Party said in a post on social media platform X.

Ninety lawmakers voted in support of the motion while 28 voted against.
