Former Israeli Prime Minister Ehud Barak said that Israeli constructors helped build bunkers under Al-Shifa hospital, in a conversation with CNN talk show host Christiane Amanpour.

Burak claims the bunkers are used by Hamas as a command post, although it is “not the only one”.

Amanpour replied to Burak’s comment, asking: “Did you misspeak?”

“Decades ago we were running the place. We helped them build the bunkers in order to enable more space for the operations of the hospital within the very limited size of this compound,” Barak said.
