Special Representative to the Prime Minister on Religious Harmony Maulana Tahir Ashrafi has categorically stated that Pakistan’s policy on Palestine cannot and will not change, state-run Radio Pakistan reports.

Pakistan has repeatedly expressed support and solidarity with the oppressed Palestinian people and will continue to do so, he vowed in a press conference in Islamabad.

He said two consignments of humanitarian assistance have been sent to the Palestinian people in the wake of recent Israeli atrocities, adding that it the civilian and military leadership have now decided to double this aid.

Ashrafi further said Pakistan is in contact with Saudi Arabia and other Gulf countries on the Middle East situation.
