Australian football team donates to Gaza humanitarian relief
Australia’s national football team will donate a portion of their match fees from a World Cup qualifier against Palestine to support humanitarian causes in Gaza, Reuters reports.
Australia will play Palestine in Kuwait on Tuesday in a game that was to be held in the occupied West Bank but was relocated due to the war in Gaza.
A percentage of the players’ match fees from the game will be directed towards Oxfam’s humanitarian efforts in Gaza, Professional Footballers Australia said.
