Turkish news outlet TRT World says that Israeli police attacked their news crew in occupied East Jerusalem. The crew was covering Friday prayers in the neighborhood.

TRT World posted video to its X account showing Israeli police hitting its camera, cracking the lens.

In a post on X, Fahrettin Altun, the country’s director of communications, said that “this ugly attack has added a new embarrassment to Israel’s record on press freedom.”
