Israeli army says 5 killed in Jenin raid, occupied West Bank
There was an exchange of fire between Israeli forces and Palestinian fighters, who were allegedly using ambulances to flee towards Ibn Sina Hospital “in order to hide there” in Jenin, in the occupied West Bank, the Israeli army claimed, Al Jazeera reports.
One individual among the Palestinian fighters was arrested at the hospital’s entrance, as stated by the army.
Earlier, it was reported that Israeli soldiers arrived at the hospital, instructing medical staff to raise their hands and vacate the premises. Some of the healthcare workers underwent questioning for an hour before being released.
Three men have been killed overnight, reported WAFA, the Palestinian news agency. Additionally, Israeli forces reportedly prevented emergency services from reaching individuals injured in a drone strike.
