The Israeli military’s chief of staff has said that Israel was close to destroying Hamas’ military system in the northern Gaza Strip, Reuters reports.

“We are close to destroying the military system that existed in the north Gaza Strip. We will complete it,” said Lieutenant-General Herzi Halevi.
