KARACHI, Feb 15: Another upset was recorded in the ongoing 25th Sindh chess championship when amateur Akmal Hussain toppled Master Rahat in the third round at the Karachi Chess Academy on Wednesday.
Playing tactical moves, Akmal gradually improved his position against Rahat which eventually earned him a magnificent victory.
After the win, Akmal leads the table with three points.
Two more outsiders Jahangir Ahmed and Riasat also caught the eye when they held FIDE Master Omer Khan and Master Asad to a draw.
