KARACHI, Feb 15: Aamir Atlas Khan of Pakistan entered the main round of CIMB KL Open squash championship after winning his final qualifying round match on Tuesday in Malaysia.
According to the details of the tournament made available on Wednesday, Aamir after dropping first game bounced back to defeat Cameron White of Australia 3-1 to advance into the main rounds. He will meet England’s world No21 Adrian Grant in the first round of the event.
Pakistan No2 Mansoor Zaman who was awarded direct entry in the main rounds will open his title campaign against Malaysian player Timothy Arnold.
Apart from Aamir’s victory in the qualifying round, it was overall not a good day for Pakistan as three of its players who were looking for berths in the main rounds lost their final qualifying matches.
