An unnamed Israeli official has said that the chance of a “full-scale war” breaking out between Israel and Lebanon’s Hezbollah increased in recent days, even as fighting continued around the Gaza Strip’s biggest hospital, crippling the facility where doctors said hundreds of civilians were sheltering and more patients were dying, Wall Street Journal (WSJ) reports.

The official stated that if a full-blown conflict erupts, they would “devastate the militant group’s stronghold”, WSJ said.
