The Kremlin has said that Russian President Vladimir Putin has spoken by phone to Senegalese President Macky Sall to discuss trade ties and Israel’s bombardment of Gaza, Reuters reports.

It said the conversation built on their contacts at a Russia-Africa summit this year and included an exchange of views on “the sharp escalation of the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the difficult humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip”.
