Diana Buttu, a Palestinian lawyer and former spokesperson of the Palestinian Liberation Organisation (PLO), in a conversation with Al Jazeera said:

• It is illegal to bomb a hospital and the Israelis know this
• They’ve been trying to get rabbis to sign on to letters to say it’s okay to bomb a hospital
• This is absolutely a violation of international law
• We’re witnessing a genocide on our screens
• The world must step in now to stop this
• I will be surprised if we don’t reach a much higher death toll by the end of the day
• All of this comes as Israel recently promised a four-hour pause in fighting
• The idea that Palestinians are pawns who can just be moved is incorrect
• Israel is going after people fleeing
• It has made its genocidal intentions clear
• This is where [Israel] has to be stopped
