Israeli tanks have surrounded the al-Rantisi Hospital complex in Gaza City, Al Jazeera reports.

The media outlet says it has verified footage showing Israeli tanks near the medical facility. Last night, al-Rantisi Hospital and the area around it was one of the several medical facilities targeted by Israel.

Separately, footage shared by the Quds News Network, posted at 3:35pm, shows huge plumes of smoke and fire raging near the entrance of the hospital.
