Grateful to Japan for its pledge to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza, US diplomat says
US Secretary of State Antony Blinken has expressed gratitude to Japan for its pledge to provide humanitarian assistance to Gaza, which is currently suffering due to Israel’s relentless bombardment.
In a post on X after a meeting of the Group of Seven in Japan, he said, “Today, I thanked [Japanese Prime Minister] Kishida Fumio for his government’s strong leadership of the G7 during this very difficult year in the in face of unprecedented global challenges.
“We are grateful to Japan for its pledge to provide humanitarian assistance to the people of Gaza,” the US diplomat added.
