Australian Senator Penny Wong has said 20 Australians in Gaza, plus two family members and a permanent resident, were able to cross the border via Rafah crossing overnight.

“They are being supported by our consular staff in Egypt. Travel arrangements are being made for them to get home, free of charge,” he said in a post on X.
