Karachi, Feb 13: Six ships carrying soyabean meal, chemicals and to load molasses are expected to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to the KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was active where seven ships, Dina Queen, to unload project cargo, Chemstar Belle, to offload chemicals, Marina G.R. to offload coal, Ying Xiang-9, to offload machinery, Tai He, Wadi Alrayan to offload and load containers and African Eagle, to unload steel coils were berthed.

Over a dozen ships departed on Monday after unloading and loading cargoes: They are: PONL Buenos Aires, Oriental Independence, Haje Kereh, Sagamore, COs Cherry, Mercs Ruhunu, Oriouis, Sinar Bontang, Conti Harmony, Shalamar, Chem Star Belle, Kota Teguh, Hyderabad, Seven Star and Thor Captain.

Eight vessels, Wadi Alrayan, Al-Maha, Dina Queen, Tai He, Yong Xinag-9, Samho Heron, Yang Jiang He, and African Eagle are due to sail out on Tuesday. Cargo handling activity at the wharves was on the higher side totalling 98,992 tons comprising 22,250 tons of export cargo including 294 tons of fresh fruits, and 76,742 tons of import tonnage, which also included soyabean meal.

The ships due on Tuesday are: Lalazar, with 65,000 tons of crude oil, Hannibal-2, to load 25,400 tons of molasses, Bow de Feng, with 1,000 tons chemicals, APL Cairo, Iran Baabaei, with containers and Badulu Valley, with 3,083 tons of soyabean meal.
