Col. Elad Goren, of the Israeli Defence Ministry agency COGAT, has said Israeli will allow a significant increase in aid in Gaza, Al Jazeera reports.

“We have marked a humanitarian zone in the southern Gaza Strip, in the Khan Younis area,” he said. “We recommend that the civilian population evacuate to this zone, with a plan to route the humanitarian aid that arrives and is delivered there through the Rafah crossing.”
