The United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) has said that the current situation in Gaza — after the Israeli military conducted relentless bombing overnight — is “horrific”.

After all communications were cut last night, Unicef said it has been “able to contact only a few of its humanitarian staff in the Gaza Strip”.
