Pakistan hopes of progress towards ‘unconditional ceasefire’ in today’s UNGA session: FO
The Foreign Office (FO) has expressed hope of progress towards a ceasefire in Israel’s military action on Gaza during the special session of the United Nations General Assembly today.
In a weekly briefing, FO spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said, “Pakistan is hopeful that there will be progress on a ceasefire in today’s special session of the General Assembly.
She further says Israel was committing ethnic cleansing of the Palestinians, adding, “Pakistan supports a Palestine state with Al-Quds Sharif (Jerusalem) as its capital.”
The FO spokesperson has demanded that Israel lift the blockade it has imposed on Gaza and that Pakistan wishes for an “unconditional ceasefire”.
