UN Secretary-General António Guterres has reiterated that “horrendous attacks cannot justify the collective punishment” of those in Gaza through Israel’s bombing campaign.

In a post on X, he said, “The grievances of the Palestinian people cannot justify the horrific attacks by Hamas. Those horrendous attacks cannot justify the collective punishment of the Palestinian people.”
