Member states have pledged 34pc of funds required for humanitarian needs: UN agency

The UN’s Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs has said that as of 5pm on Monday, its member states have pledged nearly US$100 million for the inter-agency Flash Appeal launched on October 12 to address humanitarian needs stemming from the current crisis.

The amount would cover about 34 per cent of the total requirement ($294m), the OCHA said in its Flash Update 17.
