Michael Bociurkiw, a senior fellow at the Atlantic Council, has called the list of leaders present at the Cairo Peace Summit held earlier today “interesting”.

He noted that there were no Israelis at the table while at the US seat, there was a “little-known career diplomat”.

The analyst added that Russia’s seat was occupied by a deputy foreign secretary while the UN chief was also present among leaders or foreign secretaries of other nations.
