Seeing urgent signs of more mutual mass atrocities: Human Rights Watch workers
In an article published in The Guardian, three Human Rights Watch workers have said that they are “seeing urgent signs of more mutual mass atrocities to come in Israel and Gaza”.
The opinion piece authored by Omar Shakir, Yasmine Ahmed and Akshaya Kumar states: “We are witnessing loss of civilian life at a scale we have not seen in the modern history of Israel and Palestine.”
It highlights the “Hamas-led October 7 massacres” as well as various statements made by Israeli leaders, which it has termed as “calls to commit mass atrocities by a party capable of doing so”.
On many politicians not condemning “Israel’s unlawful blockade”, the HRW workers emphasise, “It’s time for a much clearer stance from Western leaders.”
