KARACHI: Meezan Bank Ltd reported on Thursday its net profit for July-September clocked in at Rs25.8 billion, up 123 per cent from a year ago.

The increase in earnings was 49pc on a quarterly basis. The bank also announced a dividend of Rs5 per share.

Meanwhile, Pak Suzuki Motor Company Ltd told investors it registered a profit of Rs3.8bn in the July-September as opposed to a loss of Rs2.5bn a year ago. The quarterly earnings report showed the company has posted a cumulative loss of Rs5.9bn in the first nine months of 2023 versus a loss of Rs2.5bn in the same period of 2022.

Separately, Nestle Pakistan Ltd said on Thursday its net profit for July-September remained Rs4.8bn, up 30.2pc from a year ago. The company also announced a second interim cash dividend of Rs53 per share, which is in addition to a pay-out of Rs121 per share already paid during 2023.
