Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has thanked British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak for his “unwavering support and solidarity” since the onset of the Gaza conflict and termed the ongoing situation “Israel’s darkest hour”.

Addressing a press conference alongside Sunak, Netanyahu noted that the conflict with Hamas goes beyond Israel and has broader implications. He stated, “It’s a battle for the entire civilised world; it’s a battle for Israel, and it’s a battle for Western civilisation.”

“It’s a battle for the future.”
