Former human rights minister Shireen Mazari has criticised the US for vetoing a UN Security Council resolution that called for “humanitarian pauses” in the Gaza conflict.

In a post on X, she said, “[The] US wants the war crimes by Zionist entity Israel to continue; they want the genocide to continue till conclusion. They don’t want humanitarian aid to reach Gaza.

“Clearly, the US president along with other abettors of the Zionist entity are as guilty of these crimes,” she added.
