LAHORE, Feb 7: The two-day Dawn Education Expo-2006 concluded at the Exhibition Centre, Fortress Stadium, on Tuesday. The event was organized by the Dawn Group of Newspapers.
On the final day also a large number of people visited the exhibition. Students of various educational institutions showed a keen interest in the exhibition and sought career counselling from the stalls set up by more than 100 local and foreign higher education institutions.
Punjab Education Minister Imran Masood also visited the exhibition and appreciated the organizers for their effort. He said such events should be a regular feature of the city. He also inquired the participants about their experience regarding the exhibition.
Some school students were taking career counselling more enthusiastically. “I regret for not coming here yesterday as I cannot seek counselling from most of the stalls in one day,” said Osama, an O-Level student. He said he had told his father that he would go to the UK for higher studies after competing his A-Levels.
The Education Expo was held at the Expo Centre in Karachi on Jan 30-31 and Islamabad on Feb 3-4.
