NAROWAL: Two Pakistani brothers who were killed by unidentified persons in South Africa were laid to rest at their native village of Chhangi in tehsil Daska of district Sialkot.

The deceased were identified as Muhammad Sohail and Muhammad Mudassar, the sons of Muhammad Bashir Nagra, who were living in South Africa for the last many years.

Some days ago, unidentified men had shot the brothers dead on the road. The bodies of both the brothers were brought from South Africa to their native village. After the funeral prayers, the deceased were buried in the native graveyard.

Khurram Shahzad, the spokesperson for District Police Sialkot, told Dawn Muhammad Bashir Nagra and Muhammad Siddique Nagra, residents of village Chhangi, were real brothers.

According to the police investigation, the businesses of the Nagras are in South Africa, Japan and America and both the families have set up car showrooms in the same city of South Africa.

The police spokesman said the police force was deployed before the bodies reached their native village to provide security to the victims’ family that had old enmity in the area.

He said the legal proceedings for the murder of the two brothers would be done in South Africa.
