KARACHI, Feb 6: Nine vessels carrying containers, coal and general cargo are due to arrive at the outer anchorage on Tuesday, according to KPT sources. Berthing activity at the wharves was fairly active where eight ships were berthed to unload containers, general cargo and crude oil. They are: Al-Marwah, Sanis Griva, Orient Kerria and Chemstal Princes, to unload crude oil and chemicals, Hyderabad, to offload general cargo, Maersk Alaska, Llse Wulff and Evern Guide, to unload and load containers.
Sailing was also on the higher side as 11 vessels departed after loading various commodities. They are: EOSI, Sagamore, PONL Buenos Aires, Johar, Oriental Kerria, Corn Thaikos, Maersk Alaska, Hanjin Houstan, Al-Marwah, Agios Nectarios-1 and Mu San, while Llse Wulff, Ducky Symphony, Stolt Alliannce and Ever Guide are due to sail out on Tuesday.
Cargo handling activity at the wharves was active where a total tonnage of 0.113m tons comprising 29,394 tons of export cargo, including 8,321 tons of rice and 83,189 tons of import tonnage, was handled.
The following ships are due on Tuesday: APL Dalian, Kota Waris, Orient Independence, Satha Bhum, Kota Teguh, with containers, Cos Cherry, with 41,000 tons of coal, Ibn Batouta, and San Jaing Kuo, with general cargo and Thamisa Naree, with stainless steel.
