Ejazul Haq leaves for Morocco

LAHORE, Feb 4: A four-member delegation led by Religious Affairs Minister Ejazul Haq left for Morocco on Saturday to participate in the first meeting of the Morocco-Pakistan Joint Commission on Islamic Cooperation.

Sources said that Ahmed Taufeeq, Moroccan Minister for Waqf and Islamic Affairs, would open the meeting on Monday (tomorrow).

A discussion will be held on common issues on the basis of the agreement on Islamic cooperation signed in Rabat on July 18, 2003.

Various agreements will be signed by the two sides, the sources said.

Joint secretary Riazur Rehman, NWFP’s Auqaf chief administrator Zubair Shah and Sindh’s Auqaf chiefadministrator Khawar Noor Sheikh are accompanying the minister.
