LAHORE: Robbers shot dead a citizen and injured another critically on offering resistance in Islampura area here on Thursday.

According to reports, Ahsan was coming out of a bank after withdrawing cash from an ATM when two armed men appeared on a motorbike and held him up at gunpoint.

They opened indiscriminate fire when Ahsan offered resistance and tried to overpower one of the robbers.

The bullets hit Ahsan and a passerby, Arif. The robbers fled the scene while firing.

The injured persons were rushed to a local hospital where Arif succumbed to his injuries.
