GUJRAT: Six more buses have been added to the transport fleet of the University of Gujrat, raising the number of varsity’s own buses to 46.

The UoG still have to rely on more than 50 buses hired on rent since it provides pick and drop to at least 18,000 students to five neighboring districts beside the towns of Gujrat district, said a senior official of the administration. The news buses have been purchased at a cost of Rs 120 million, says Vice Chancellor Dr Mushahid Anwar. The VC handed over keys of buses to transport department head Engineer Dr Shoaib Rauf.
