Protest against police

NAWABSHAH, Feb 1: Dozens of residents of the Ghazi Khan Hooth village staged a protest demonstration and observed a token hunger strike here on Wednesday in protest against police raids on homes in their village.

Protesters led by Qurban Ali Hooth told newsmen that the taluka police raided their village on Wednesday morning barged into their houses, beaten their women and children with clubs in which two women suffered miscarriages.

Qurban Hooth alleged that police arrested five persons namely Shamsuddin, Kiran Khan, Yar Mohammad, Juman and Ali Mohammad.

He said that those persons who were arrested in a fake FIR lodged by Gul Hassan Chandio.

The protesters demanded of the Sindh governor and the chief minister to take strict action against police officials.
