RAWALPINDI: Girls outshined boys in Secondary School Certificate annual examination 2023 results announced by Rawalpindi Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education (BISE) on Monday with pass percentage standing at 77. 2.

The results were announced by BISE Chairman Mohammad Adnan Khan and Controller Examination Sajid Mehmood Farooqi in a conference room of the board offices.

According to the results, a total 116,656 students submitted their admission while 115,541 students including 58,457 boys and 57,084 girls appeared in the examinations.

A total 89,904 candidates were regular and 25,637 were private. As many as 89,184 students passed and 26,173 students failed. A total 1,059 students were absent.

Total 77.2pc students remained successful including 83.11pc are girls and 71.42 percent are boys. From 2019, all board of intermediate and Secondary Education stopped to declare first, second and third positions.

Speaking on the occasion, BISE Rawalpindi Chairman Adnan Khan appreciated the work of controller examination and his team to conduct fair and free examination. He said that our target was to eliminate the cheating in the examination and to provide better environment to the candidates.
