LAHORE, Jan 31: Sheikhupura Deputy Inspector General of Police Pervez Raheem Rajput has suspended Farooqabad police station SHO Inspector Ejaz Ahmed Khan and ASI (Investigation) Muhammad Ejaz for registering a false case and harassing a citizen, Muhammad Safdar, which led to his death.

He issued the suspension orders of both the policemen in the light of a prelimanary inquiry report of the SP Investigations on the suicide incident of the said citizen.

The DIG also ordered to take departmental action against both the suspended police officials after detaining them in police lines.—APP
