PESHAWAR, Jan 30: The Jamaat-i-Islami has congratulated Hamas on its victory in the Palestinian elections and termed it a good omen for the peace process in the Middle East.

JI activists took out a rally led by MNA Shabir Ahmad from Nishtarabad to express solidarity with the Palestinian people. The rally culminated at Khyber Bazaar where JI leaders addressed the marchers.

They said that it was a wake up call for Muslim organizations working for the betterment of the humanity.

They said that the Hamas’ victory was a success for the whole Muslim world.
