Trainee diplomats

LAHORE, Jan 26: Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI) acting president Abdul Basit has said that Pakistan’s diplomatic missions can play a critical role in enhancing the country’s exports and building its image.

He was addressing a 20-member delegation of the Foreign Service Academy officers on Thursday. The delegation was led by academy director Amjad Ali Sher. LCCI vice-president Aftab Ahmad Vohra also spoke on the occasion.

Mr Basit urged the visiting diplomats to introduce Pakistani culture in their respective countries of posting and make this world a global village in the true sense. He said the chamber was playing an effective role for the business community.
