Suspect held in blind murder cases of two transgenders

RAWALPINDI: Police have resolved the blind murder cases of two transgender persons by arresting the suspect who had also allegedly sexually assaulted them.

The incident had occurred in the limits of Sadiqabad police.

A police spokesman said on Thursday that Ali Hussain killed the victims by strangulation after sexually assaulting them.

He said the suspect allegedly killed transgender Zahoor alias Bebo in February and Saif alias Kamlu in April this year after raping them.

In both the cases, the suspect put a waistband around their necks after rape and killed them.

The spokesman said CPO Syed Khalid Hamdani had formed a special team under the supervision of the SSP investigation and SP Rawal which traced the suspect.

“The serial killer has been traced and arrested, the DNA test of the accused has been conducted, the accused will be brought to court with concrete evidence. All legal requirements will be fulfilled to punish the accused,” the spokesman said.
