BAP rules out merger with any party

QUETTA: Balochistan Chief Minister Mir Abdul Qudoos Bizenjo and Senate Chairman Mir Sadiq Sanjrani have said that Balochistan Awami Party (BAP) will take part in next elections as an independent party and refuted rumours of its merger with any other party.

Mr Sanjrani met Mr Bizenjo on Sunday and discussed the prevailing political situation in the country, role of political parties and party’s organisational matters.

They agreed that BAP would stay intact as an independent political party and it would not be merged into any other political party.

“BAP will contest upcoming elections as an independent party as it did in 2018 elections and it will emerge as a majority party in Balochistan,” the chief minister claimed.

He, however, did not rule out election alliance and seat-to-seat adjustments with other political parties and said the party’s high command would take a final decision in this regard.

The BAP leaders said that party workers were the real assets and driving force behind the party’s success and they would be taken into confidence before any major decision regarding election alliance

Mr Bizenjo claimed that BAP was the biggest political force in the province and it would show good performance in the next elections.
