HYDERABAD: Mr Abdul Hafeez Pirzada, Federal Minister for Law, Parliamentary Affairs and Education, today [May 20] said that cries of Sindhu Desh, Azad Baluchistan and Pakhtoonistan were empty slogans designed to exploit the people and students to bring about anarchy in the country. The common man, he said, stood for a united Pakistan and has never given any support to such fissiparous elements.

Addressing students and staff of Sind Law College … the Minister said the Government would soon take stringent measures to curb these tendencies in order to create healthy atmosphere for promotion of the sense of single nationhood in the country. He advised students not to get exploited by self-seekers and added that violence in educational institutions was the most undesirable phenomenon and must be given up in the interest of education itself. — Staff Correspondent
