SHEIKHUPURA, Jan 20: Thikri pahra (security on self-help basis) has been introduced in rural areas of the district to check robberies and thefts. DPO Aslam Tareen told newsmen on Friday UC nazim naib nazims would maintain a liaison with police station concerned to improve law and order.

Mr Tareen said that law and order in urban and rural areas of the district would be maintained at any cost. For this purpose, he said, police patrolling had been enhanced.
