ISLAMABAD: Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb said on Wednesday that the present government was striving to steer the country out of the present crises and blamed the previous administration’s policies for causing inflation and economic downturn.
“We have not only fixed the economy but also continue to make efforts to bring further improvement,” Ms Aurangzeb, flanked by Coordinator to the Prime Minister on Economy and Energy Bilal Azhar Kayani, told reporters at a news conference.
She accused PTI chief Imran Khan of depriving citizens of sugar and wheat, harming Pakistan’s diplomatic relations with other countries, trading off Kashmir for foreign funds and destroying the economy, which resulted in extreme inflation, poverty and unemployment.
