QUETTA, Jan 18: Jamhoori Watan Party chief Nawab Akbar Khan Bugti has condemned the destruction of the historic fort of Late Nawab Meharullah Khan Marri and the residence of MPA Nawabzada Balaach Marri in Kahan in shelling by security forces.

In a statement issued here on Monday, the JWP chief said that no member of the family of Nawab Khair Bakhsh Marri was present in the forts when they were targeted. He said that in such a situation the Baloch had no option but to wage armed struggle for their survival.

He said the resistance movement was spreading rapidly since the launching of the military action in Kohlu and Dera Bugti.

AFGHAN HELD: An Afghanistan national was arrested from the border area on Tuesday and a bomb and a Kalashnikov were seized from him.
