Tangi TMA employees without salary for three months
CHARSADDA: The tehsil municipal administration of Tangi has been faced with severe financial crisis as its employees have not received salaries for the last three months while Pesco authorities have disconnected power supply to its offices owing to non-payment of bills, according to sources.
They said that the former employees of TMA also had not received pensions for the last three months. They said that financial crunch causing uncertainty among TMA employees while people were the ultimate sufferers.
They said that piles of garbage were lying in streets and drainage system was badly affected. They said that stink of polluted drain water and garbage filth was causing difficulty to people in breathing while spread of diseases was also feared.
Power supply to its offices disconnected over non-payment of bills
Sources said that TMA employees were facing hardships during Ramazan as they had not received salaries for the last three months. The pensioners have also not received their pensions. They said that Wapda disconnected electricity to TMA offices owing to non-payment of bills. Due to disconnection of power supply, streetlights remain switched off.
TMA employees and pensioners have demanded immediate release of salaries and provision of funds.
RESIGN: The entire cabinet of Merchants Union of Sherpao Bazaar has resigned and announced to join Merchants Association and formed a new cabinet.
The leaders of the union were invited by Merchants Association to join it, which was accepted by its president Haji Samiullah Khan. A new cabinet was formed on the occasion. Haji Imtiaz Khan was made president of the association, Haji Samiullah senior vice president, Shah Khalid first vice president, Sadiq Khan second vice president, Ryan Khan general secretary, Syed Hussain Qadir deputy general secretary, Bashir Ahmad finance secretary, Haji Sarir Khan press secretary and Israr Khan was elected office secretary.
KILLED: A youngster was shot dead over woman dispute in Mouza Sarikh Marozai. Police registered a case against Ayub, Adnan Ibrahim and Sikander on the complaint of Tala Mohammad, father of the deceased.
