20,000 shelters distributed

BATTAGARAM, Jan 16: The army has distributed about 20,000 temporary shelters among earthquake victims in Battagram district. The in charge of relief operation Brigadier Khalid Mehmood said on Monday we are constructing more shelters for people living on high altitudes in order to protect them from extreme cold conditions. He further said the World Food Organisation (WFO) has also provided daily commodities for the victims who are living on the mountains, which is enough for three months.

The inhabitants of the other areas will also get daily commodities for the period of one month.—Online
