LAHORE, Jan 15: The Pakistan Workers Confederation has condemned the US bombing in Bajaur Agency resulting in the death of 18 innocent civilians. In a statement issued here on Sunday, PWC president Chaudhry Talib Nawaz and secretary-general Khurshid Ahmed called upon the US president to prevent his forces from bringing a bad name to their country by resorting to such tactics.
They said that American forces had committed a flagrant violation of sovereignty of Pakistan and international humanitarian principles by bombing Bajaur Agency and killing innocent civilians without any provocation.
The US forces, they said, had contravened the principles for which the world had supported their country after the bombing of the New York Trade Centre on Sept 11, 2004. They also condoled the death of bombing victims and expressed heartfelt sympathies with the bereaved families.—Reporter
