The federal govern- ment’s decision to establish 12 schools in Balochistan to provide free modern education facilities deserves appreciation. However, Dera Bugti district has been left out of the areas being considered for the scheme. The state of education in the entire district is pathetic. Poverty is uncontrollable and access to necessities, like education, health, clean water, is at rock bottom. The area deserves better.
