SARGODHA, Jan 8: The annual elections of the Pakistan Medical Association were completed here at a local hotel on Sunday. The group of sitting office-holders was elected. Dr Sikandar Hayat Warraich was elected president by securing 258 votes while Dr Hashim Imran was elected secretary-general with the same number of votes.

Dr Nasir Iqbal was elected joint secretary, Dr Tariq Saleem finance secretary and Dr Riaz Ahmad was elected information secretary .

CAMPAIGN: DPO Muhammad Naeem Khan said on Sunday in a special drive against cattle lifters, as many as 225 stolen cattle had been recovered from Galotran village in Jhang.

He claimed that the Sargodha police were effectively running campaign against criminals on the direction of the chief minister. He said 19 suspects had been arrested by the Sargodha police.
